Tampa Train Day is a family-friendly, local event which this year is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the restoration of historic Tampa Union Station.
It is organized by the volunteers of Friends of Tampa Union Station.
Admission is completely free.
Featuring:
- Model train displays! From the Suncoast Model Railroad Club, H.B. Plant Railroad Historical Society, Suncoast American Flyer Enthusiasts, RealRails, Pun Railroad and Classic Trains, the Greater Florida LEGO Users Group and more!
- History and transportation exhibits! From the 1st U.S. Volunteer Cavalry Regiment "Rough Riders" Krewe, Amtrak, Friends of Tampa Union Station, Florida Railroad Museum, Operation Lifesaver, Largo Central Railway, Florida Coalition of Rail Passengers/Rail Passengers Association, TBARTA, Tampa-Hillsborough County Public Library/Burgert Brothers Photo Collection, Florida Chapter of the Morse Telegraph Club, a children's play area sponsored by H&R Trains and more!
- Live music by Ray Chiaramonte from 11:00-12:00, Kat Baumback from 12:30-2:00 and the Serotonic Duo from 2:30-4:00!
