Director of Marketing, PR, & Communications
Overview
The Director of Marketing, PR, & Communications will oversee Rail Passengers’ outward-
facing voice, ensuring clarity, consistency, and impact across media channels. This role
coordinates public relations, marketing campaigns, and communications strategy, aligning
efforts with fundraising and advocacy goals.
Key Responsibilities
Manage press releases, media advisories, and public statements.
Field interview requests with senior staff and prepare them with key talking points.
Develop campaigns that highlight Association priorities, initiatives, and victories.
Coordinate with the Chief of Staff on creative fundraising communications and
campaigns.
Work closely with the President/CEO and VP of Government Affairs to ensure
consistent messaging.
Qualifications
Background in PR, marketing, or communications (nonprofit or advocacy preferred).
Strong writing and editing skills.
Ability to manage multiple communications channels.
Media relations experience a plus.
Time Commitment
~8–12 hours per month, variable depending on campaigns and media activity.
